OLIO is an application for receiving donations and food as well as other household items that people no longer need. That way we can help people, do better jobs, fight food waste and get free food.
Connect with your neighbors and local businesses in order to share spare food and household items instead of throwing them away.
The way it works is very simple. When we have food that we will not eat, we just take a picture and give a brief description. It only takes a few seconds.
The list will be published and we can see what is in our region. Most lists are requested in less than two hours. When someone sends us a request, we agree to take what we have to do.
Their purpose is to take away the food we don't eat and the many kinds of things that would otherwise end up in the trash. In the meantime, we can find the free stuff we want.
The app also has a system of user ratings and badges that reward us for our philanthropic actions. This is a great platform to help us take care of the environment, our neighbors, and ourselves and get free food when needed.
