Storyline
As soon as the Death Star is completed, Darth Vader kidnaps Princess Leia and leaves her in a room with R2-D2. In order to escape with his friend C-3PO, she installs the Death Star's plans in the robot's memory. Darth Vader later pressures Leia into telling him the location of "The Egg," an object he wants in order to be promoted to Emperor. C-3PO and R2-D2 land on Tatooine, where they are found by some Jawa Birds who put them up for sale.
The Jawa Birds offer Luke Skywalker R2-D2 and C-3PO after he purchases supplies for his farm. As a result, he decides to purchase them and the Jawa Birds leave satisfied. Luke is told about the Death Star and Leia's captivity by the robots. Later, on Tatooine, he encounters some Tusken Raiders, who manage to knock him down. He is saved, however, by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Chewbacca and Han Solo meet the duo at a cantina later in the evening. A laser shot is fired by Han at Greedork, who has been sent by Jabba the Hutt to hunt down the heroes. Darth Vader has forced Lando to tell him all the details regarding the Rebel hostage[1] and later kidnaps Solo and freezes him in carbonite. The group, however, is unaware that Darth Vader already knows about this. As a result of having aided Vader, Lando joins the Rebels in taking him down. After a duel, Luke recognizes Darth Vader as his father and confesses to him. Despite this, Luke manages to defeat him. Later, the Bird Rebels left.
Using the X-wing Birdfighter ship, Luke and R2-D2 travel to Dagobah to train with Yoda. The two meet Yoda after landing on Dragonsnake Bog, causing the ship to sink in the water, where he trains Luke to be a Jedi Master. R2-D2 and Luke would later leave Dagobah. Jabba the Hutt kidnaps Leia and Han after Leia rescues Han from the carbonite he's trapped in on Tatooine. Luke, however, comes in and saves them. Having choked Jabba to death, the three heroes left. The Bird Rebels meet the Ewok Birds and destroy one of Darth Vader's bases on the moon of Endor.
Meanwhile, Vader and his minions have completed building Death Star 2, which is powerful enough to pulverize entire battleships. They are able to get aboard the ship, however, after weakening the ship's defense systems. Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader's master, face the Bird Rebels in a final showdown. Palpatine is severely wounded, but Vader has a sudden change of heart and kills him. In a moment of grief, Luke opens Vader's armor, revealing his face for the first time. However, the heroes are later forced to leave Death Star 2 after a chain reaction is triggered, causing it to explode. They are later greeted by Obi-Wan, Vader, and Yoda, as Jedi spirits, as they celebrate their victory with C-3PO, R2-D2, and Ewok Birds.
The gameplay
As with past Angry Birds games, Angry Birds Star Wars is a puzzle video game. A slingshot is used to launch a limited group of birds anywhere the player wants. Every level has enemies that the player must defeat using their characters. Usually, these enemies appear sheltered within wood, glass, and/or metal structures, along with chains and TNT.
